La Puntilla Seafood Restaurant
About This Spot
La Puntilla Seafood Restaurant welcomes you with the gentle embrace of ocean breezes and the hum of Mazatlán’s bustling harbor just steps away. As you settle into its airy, open setting, there’s an easygoing rhythm here—partly the lively chatter of people savoring the catch of the day, partly the soothing presence of waves lapping nearby. It’s a place where locals and travelers alike find a moment to slow down, soak in the view of ships gliding past, and share plates brimming with the sea’s freshest offerings.
The mood is cheerful without rush, a casual celebration of coastal flavors that invites you to explore the vibrant tastes of Sinaloa. Whether you arrive early to enjoy a breakfast spread where hearty comfort meets ocean freshness or choose a leisurely lunch filled with an array of ceviches, grilled fish, and seafood specialties, there’s a sense of authentic connection here—between food, place, and people.
In this relaxed corner near the cruise port, the menu feels like a local’s treasure chest, showcasing the bountiful shrimp, fish, and shellfish that define Mazatlán’s culinary identity. Dishes are generous and thoughtfully prepared, from bright, tangy ceviches to playful combinations of coconut shrimp and mango salsa, each bite echoing the region’s coastal spirit and culinary warmth.
Gathering at La Puntilla is as much about savoring flavors as it is about embracing the surroundings—sunlight casting a golden glow as local kids jump into the water nearby, friends laughing over freshly poured Pacifico beers, and the subtle clinks of glasses punctuating the salty air. It’s a spot where moments are less about formality and more about the pleasure of good company, honest food, and the simple joy of being by the sea.

Place look nice and fresh even In hot days. I will recommend to everyone brekfest buffet they have a lot of options and you can easily full your stomach, big plus is also that you don't need to wait you cam just pick it up and eat. Parking is big, view is nice with ships. Bad side od the place is definitely service, slow not to friendly.

We are advised that the shrimp in Mazatlan is incredibly special, and I have to agree. We had the aguachile and devil shrimp. It was fantastic. Plump, beautiful shrimp. Our travel mates got the whole red snapper; and they were blown away. We also got Pacifico beer in honor of the locale. Great views. Great food. Great service.

We got the special ceviche, coconut shrimp with mango salsa, a bottle of still water, and a sparkling mineral water for a total of $35 USD. The amount of food we got was unbelievable in all the best ways. Huge portions, super fresh, tasted amazing!! 5 minute walk from the cruise port...a great local spot!

What a spectacular little spot for seafood and just a great breezy lunch. It was recommended to us by our van tour guide. He dropped us off after asking for the best place for a bite... Close to the cruise terminal. He didn't hesitate to recommend this place and I am grateful. The shrimp tostada's were killer! I ordered the molcajete, although it wasn't exactly as pictured in the menu, it was very filling and delicious. The fish was also very good, according to my fiancee. Next time I come around these parts, I'm coming here again. Great job and a decent price, although steeper due to them knowing their clientel.

My favorite place in Mazatlán! Delicious shrimp aguachile, tune ceviche, super fresh oysters, and grilled fish! We ate everything so fast that these are the only pictures a have! There was a group of local boys jumping into the water, there was a warm sunshine and the atmosphere was incredible! Very reasonable prices! I highly recommend this spot!

The food was very good and staff was pleasant. I had the Governors Tacos(shrimp) and the Brazda fish(grilled Mahi). Both were delicious. The only issue with this place was the birds. It is outdoor covered dining right on the water so there were a lot of birds looking for food.

Great place for a seafood meal. We enjoyed lunch sitting right next to the water with fish jumping and beautiful water. Nice menu of options and a relaxed atmosphere.
